MATTERS OF THE HEART
John 2:23-25
Prov. 4:23
In his talk, the diocesan Bishop the Rt. Rev’d Prosper Amah charged the diocesan workers on the need to guard their hearts in alignment with the demands of God in our time. He aptly submitted thus;
•God does not borrow or hire a vessel.
•Holiness remains the standard of God for the use of any vessel. 2 Timothy 2:19-20.
•God looks at and considers the heart of every man before entrusting him with eternal treasures and not the physique or the physical components. 1 Samuel 16:7.
•One’s success, growth or failure starts from heart.
•Guard your heart with all diligence. Prov. 4:23.
HOW?
• Total alignment with God.
Every heart surgery and true living start with acknowledging what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. Life begets life. Life in Christ Jesus is the foundation of true living. In Him is the light of life. John 8:12.
•The word of God.
The word of God searches, sanctifies and seasons the heart of man. The word is both living and mighty to pulling down every imagination and stronghold against the reign of God over every heart. Living by the word is living for the will of God.
