His Lordship, The Rt. Rev’d Prosper A. Amah (JP), the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru calls on the Nigerian government at all levels to act fast on the flood issues bedevilling Ogbaru Community and her environs, as the current state of things have claimed the lives of many, placed the economic activities and means of livelihood of masses on a standstill while a great number have been rendered homeless.

Consequently, and in an attempt to alleviate the plight and burden of the people, an arm of the church, precisely the Women’s Ministry of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru, has denoted her facility to harbour, in the interim, a good number of the displaced persons around the area. A large number holding out, however.

While applauding the giant strides of the Women’s Ministry within his jurisdiction and Episcopacy, he appreciated the the extended hand of goodwill of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, ably led by the Primate, His Grace, The Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba for the great concern with the attendant promised financial assistance to the diocese.

He unequivocally further enjoined the government and other well meaning persons within and outside the state to go the path of honour and live up to the demands of the situation, while the affected masses repose much confidence in them with regard to putting the situation in check.

The needful needs be done as quick as possible for forestall both the already existing and the imminent dangers.
